Had to pop down the garage and have a quick compare and a photo. My '68 Single Cab doors definitely open further than my '70 camper. The pick-up door is almost at 90 degrees.

Never noticed this before.

68 vs. 76. Massive difference, I never knew about this before. Love it :)
So,,,,, is this purely down to the hinges ? And is there any possibility of retro fitting, or having one of each with a replacement door possibly ? Or is it the door itself along with hinged ?

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,tis verrrr interesting indeed :)

Must be different check straps, I presume. My mates 69 was next to mine but I couldn't open the door fully to see. I'll have to compare.

The check straps seem to be different. The '68 opens 3 "clicks" whereas my '69 opened 2 "clicks"

Well, I’ve only just noticed this after all these years! I have one of each. Drivers door opens 90degs whist passenger side doesn’t quite get that far

You do have one of each don’t you?
I seem to remember you needed a replacement door and you bought a pair of ‘68s.

Yea I replaced both doors, the ‘68s didn’t go on, one is a wall decoration in my studio and the other went up to Adam & Hannah to help their van resto. Interestingly the interior construction of the near side door (the one that opens further differs from the offside one that was the same as the two I took off I seam to remember.
