Yes The dash Lights get brighter as you turn the knob. if it is turned all the way to the left the dash light will be off.

Yes I got all the camping gear for $80 and tons of other little stuff. The front bumper was there today When I grabbed the ignition housing and chrome piece around the front fresh air grill. Thanks again.

Dwell refers to the amount of time the points are open. No need to worry about it with Electronic ignitions. I wouldnt trust that the P.O. set the timing correctly.

You mention that you have electronic ignition, That is good no need to check the dwell now. Have you checked the timing yet? It should be set to 28 degrees at full advance.

Kadrons are indeed Solex 40/44 It seems there are mixed opinions about them here. I for one love them and think the make a great carb especially for a single port.

So who here takes there bus down the 1/4? I have a bug I am racing this year,but i am thinking of pulling the motor out and putting it in my panel next season. I would like to get myself a Ultimate Street Bay sticker!!! Anyone here part of USB?

Well the kadron manifolds I will let go cheap $50. The next cheapest pair I can find are $70 I Have talked to doug about making them for sale and he does not want to. He is worried they might fail he will be liable. Especially the spindles. A beam might be doable But I will mention it to him...

The flat spot is most likely caused by your distributor. A009 and a 34 carb are a bad match. An original style vacuum advance distributor will most likely make it run better. The thing above your battery is a charcoal canister.Its part of the emission system. It should connect to your air...

Looks good. That floor looks nice and dry. Usually its a mess After its had carpet on it for awhile.

By the way, That race track is where Sacramento Bugorama is held every year.

I've had a couple sets of single port kadrons on both on bus's and Bug's. I love them. The stock linkage is somewhat lacking though. The Bugpack or CSP linkage are much better.
