Nah, wasn't that. I think this is the engine you built up for the brown and white westy by the way. Now the carb is all sorted she's running sweet as a nut again... Touch wood it's a good'un!

I've just had a similar problem. It the fuel is coming out of the carb when the engines NOT running, it could be a perished gland or seal. Where is the carb leaking from? When is it leaking? Other thing to remember is if fuel can get out, air can get in, which means when cold you'll struggle to...

Right sussed it. If I completely clear the air from the fuel filter it runs ok. But clearing the air seems almost impossible unless the filter is mounted vertically. There is some kind of sporadic leak from the throttle body but its unpredictable at best. I reckon that there is some air...

I don't get it. Had it running peachy before lunch, ticking over lovely. Turned it off, hadsome lunch. Started it up again and its back how it was. It's not the solenoid as it's possible to get it running nice, but it won't stay that way. Grrr. :evil:

The aluminium tube cross piece on one side of my pop top has been bent and split slightly. The roof functions fine, and I imagine that if I make sure that the channels that the tube slides along stay lubricated it will be ok for a while yet, but it will need replacing. Does anyone have a roof...

Indeed it is an import. as long as it's not buggered that's fine. I'll have to pluck up courage before I delve into all that woring spaghetti....
