calling all electrical type people headlight switch issue

Hello everyone,
I noticed yesterday that although my mainbeam switch on the indicator stalk works for turning main beams on and off, it doesn't work to flash the lights when the headlights are not already switched on. Making me the grumpiest looking Bay driver on the roads. Is this normal or is something awry with my headlight wiring??

Presume it's a US import? If so you need to change the headlight relay for a UK spec one and attach a live feed to pin 30 on the relay. Relays are available from heritage, JK, GSF etc

Indeed it is an import. as long as it's not buggered that's fine. I'll have to pluck up courage before I delve into all that woring spaghetti....

They usually are a mess I've tried to sort the wiring out a few times now and it never seems to end much tidier!
