That'll explain the jubilee clamp at the base of our steering column then that I've never been inclined to investigate since we bought it then........ :roll: :oops: Seems to work though in whatever it's meant to be doing, there's no play in the column at all if that helps :D

It's about knowing your consumer rights, if the items were bought in store and are not faulty then they don't have to accept the goods back at all if they don't want too. I agree it's a bummer though, a full value credit note would be fairer as a returns policy, assuming you can use the credit...

No red line on mine.....1/4 of a way up though is a lot higher then I'm running the oil. Should the base of the top section be completly submerged?

The Haynes manual says 'up to the indicator mark'. Is the mark the bottom of the internal rim flange thing, or the little pip at the top of said flange thing? It's the standard old air cleaner that's sits on the pedastool.

This happened ours mine a little while ago, intended to try to find another blanking plug but I've not got around to it yet, currently there's a 5p covering the hole held in place with a big lump of blue tack......dosn't sound ideal but it just got us Croyde and back this weekend 8) :mrgreen:

Got some old Jag seats in mine, look great and once they were in looked as if they could have been in there from new :) Unfortunately I don't seem to have a picture of them fitted. I just made a simple square sub-frame which kept the seats nice and low like the original seats would have been...
