Got some old Jag seats in mine, look great and once they were in looked as if they could have been in there from new

Unfortunately I don't seem to have a picture of them fitted. I just made a simple square sub-frame which kept the seats nice and low like the original seats would have been. I'll take a snap and put something up later.

I think VW made those indeed for airflow... Haven't found out if it really works.
Will take off the doorpanels this winter so i'll find out!

I had these on my '72 Devon.
They were linked to the fresh air ducts that ran through the door from the front panel to the outlet on the seat bulkhead.

These are a standard fitment on Wedges in exactly the same place... For anyone who is wondering.. :msn4:

Although I found even when they were shut they still let cold air through which is no good in a aircooled bus without heating in the first place! :shock:
