Need more suck - I think..

Hi Zed Yep I can see that now - butterfly closed and all that right ? Any idea how I can test the effect of the suck ? When I tested it off the vehicle and provided my own suck it tiook some effort to move the plate so I imagine the vacuum off the carb would need to be quite strong and I...

HI All Eventually got the SVDA distributor fitted to the ICT carb set-up I have. Fitted Accuspark ignition in the end after an abortive try with points/condensor.. :? Fired up fine and I got the strobe out to fiddle with(sorry carefully adjust) the timing.. At tickover it's about 7.5 BTDC but I...

Novice Begins Engine Maintenance & Twin Carb Fitting

To get at the back manifold nuts on mine I found an old 1/2" AF spanner and cut it down so it would turn about 1/4 turn in the space available IIRC I also had to trim the sides of the jaws too. You will need vice and a grinder though to modify your tool.. ! Good luck JS

    engine code dilemma

The linkages are in the kits, no tinware changes required. I fitted mine earlier in the year and I did fit a 'balancer' tube between the manifolds which requires some extra barbed fittings, drilling and tapping. This is not mandatory I understand. Eurocarb also allow you to select kits/jetting...

How concerned should I be ?

Hi Al Sealing the edges that are open to air with PVA was one thought I had. Replacing it with an alternative or even breaking off a test piece might aggravate the situation.. If I hadn't bother taking it apart I would never have noticed and been in blissful ignorance I guess. I did read...
