Hi all

Went to visit the bus with a view to changing my 009 for a vac/mech dissy I 'found' i a box of parts - took it apart on Trikkys advice and all looks fine. Came to fit it and turned th e engine to TDC with rotor pointing to #3 before removing the 009 (approx 11 o'clock if looking from the back). Lined up the 'half-moon' drive forks on the vac dissy to the same as the 009 but the rotor is now pointing to 7 o'clock with the cap notch in the same place (about 90 degrees adrift)

I realise that it doesn't actually matter and you can rotate everything swap the leads over etc.. but to keep it 'normal' (#1 @ 5 o'clock)might mean teh vac can is in an awkward place)

Am I being thick (likely) ?

Cheers

JS

PS copper brake pipe ok for vacuum connection ?

The leads are 90 degrees out on vac/mech distributors compared to 009s. That's a normal thing, just rotate the leads on the distributor cap and you'll be fine. :)

As above.

Except its the 009 dissy built for industrial engines that is 90 degrees "out"
