    Brake Pedal Resting Position.

Ok so this may be a blindingly obvious question, but on a 71 with a factory servo fitted, should the brake pedal position when at rest be at the very top, in line with the clutch pedal ? Mine was always about an inch or more below, but after fitting a new Servo & pedal pushrod (from Butty's...

    DRLA Rolling Road recommendations.

So, my van was running quite rich, & after speaking with Eurocarb, I purchased a new set of chokes & jets. Despite my best efforts with carb balancer & flowmeter, just cannot get the engine running as sweet as it should. It's much better when cold, popping & backfiring when hot. Had it to...

    Brightside - 5 Years on

As I was washing Mr Brightside after a Christmas break in Cornwall, it occurred to me that it is 5 years almost to the week that it was painted by Drew at Midland Paintwerks. I think you will agree, it's holding up very well indeed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

1969 Beam - Drum to Drum

The clearout continues: I have a good solid beam from a 1969 LHD California Bay Window, not rot or repairs. This is complete from drum to drum including brakes KYB shocks etc. It was removed from a newly imported bay which had a RED9 kit fitted instead. The boots need changing, but all the...

    Ultrasonic cleaning bath - recommendations?

Been thinking about one of these for a while, anyone had any experiences or recommendations? Seen some on Flea Bay for £150 upwards for a medium sized one, just wondered if there were any "Ultrasonic gurus" on here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Engine to Bellhousing bolts

Hello. I am nowhere near my bus for the next few days, but I am putting a new engine when I get back. I have an engine stand, a spare starter & bellhousing ready to run up the new engine out of the bus, but I need the bolts to attach the bellhousing/starter to the engine. I could take the...

Ball Joints - surprising difference in quality

Looking ahead to MOT time, I noticed I have the start of a split appearing in one of the steering ball joint boots & as this is now an MOT failure, thought I would set about fixing it. I know there has been a bit of discussion about some poor quality rubber boots which split very soon after...

    Ever met your hero ?

Have you ever met your hero ? Did they disappoint or did they live up to your expectations ? My 12 year old nearly fell off his chair in a restaurant in Majorca this evening when I pointed out Bradley Wiggins was sat in the corner with his family. Rather than just wander over, I asked him...

Suitcase/Silent Generators, who has one ? Recommendations ?

Hi All, I know they can be the ruin of a good peaceful campsite, but I want one for the longer trips where Hook up is not possible. I want the quietest I can find & was looking at the Honda EU10/EU20, but they are quite pricey ! I have seen the other models by Yamaha, Subaru & this...

    Spot the Bay

Taking a few days family break in Cornwall, parked up in Mevagissey today. Obscure photo, but I like it. Thought it was a good start for a thread, "Spot the Bay" where the van is not so obvious. What do you have ?
