Well done Alfie, it's been a long journey but the end result has been well worth the effort.
Fantastic job mate. Now get yourself off on a Camping trip
Top job Alfie, looking very tidy m8. That alluminium trim really sets it off well :D
That must be the interior just about done now eh ? Have you got a date in mind for hitting the road ?
A job well done there :D Looking very nice and well worth all that effort you put into the prep job
Now comes the fun part of putting it all back together without chipping the paint  Masking tape works well on edges to offer some protection when fitting doors etc.
naa, Steering wheels are really overrated
Picture was taken near the end of an 18 month resto, I do have a steering wheel... Honest
Fitted a VDO rev Counter in mine which is very usefull to have, then used a Porsche 911 speedo with tripcounter I had spare and gave the old vw gauge a coat of paint to match :D
I used a pair of Granada Scorpio leather seats, fully electric and heated :D Very comfortable and only cost £50 the pair
Bit of a pain to fit though as I had to make a support frame for runners to sit on.
Your doing one hell of a job on this Bus and the attention to detail is superb.
With body preparation to this high standard the finished paint job should be excellent. It's all about the prep work
Great job Alfie, coming on very well m8 and love those overhead units, I'm going to have to nick that idea off you, hope you don't mind
Not long to go now eh, you'll get it to RTTH and Vanfest no problem this year
Your doing one hell of a job there and look forward to seeing more on the engine install as I'm considering the smaller 2.4 Porsche lump for mine
Happy New Year all :D
We had a small club camping trip in Co Durham to see in the New Year :D Cracking night and not to cold either, although it was a little damp later on. Mind you, we'd had a few shandys by then
Cheers m8, hope to get ours on the road for the Spring with a bit of luck. Problem is I have to many projects and not enough time or money  Always the same eh ?
Thanks Johnny
I think the best and easiest way to go about fitting a rear hatch would be to cut the complete frame out of a scrapper and then trim it down to size and weld it into your Bus.
The reason I went for home made option was because I couldn't find anything at the time other...
