    My new '70 Deluxe

Figured I'd post this in case I accidentally keep this bus. Its in better shape than my red one by far, so it might end up wearing the red buses suspension. Who knows. And since one of you on that side of the pond talked me out of my beige 68, I had a hole in my shop. :) So, a friend of mine...

    FS: 1971 Westfalia s0-72/4

Was a keeper until the wife blew up her driver on the way to get the kid fitted for braces. Someone somewhere hates me. :| 71 Westfalia. Has the "Houston" interior layout. Tall cabinet behind the drivers seat, jalousie window only in the passenger slider. Solid glass in the drivers side...

    1971 SO-72/4 "Houston"

So my buddy called me, knowing I had a bus or two (or three?) hanging out around my house wanting me to come save a bus from impound that was being shipped off to parts unknown. So I ask him about it, but All he could tell me was that it was a 71, it had been sitting there for a long long time...

    Wheel color on Beige...

Wanting a completely different wheel color on a Savannah Beige bus. What do you like? Thought about red and doing the interior red, but I'm open. Thoughts? Pics? I looked at dubscum(?)s thread and he had some neat colors. Leaning toward a powdercoated set of non stock wheels.

Pics of my latest EB find(s). 10 pics. Opinions?

Out for a country stroll, found some EB's. Ill let the pics talk. What do you think? Worth saving? Wouldnt mind building the blue one, but its got some body damage. Worried about under carriage rust. Come with all the parts inside too.

Saving a '68 from the junkyard....

I just cant help but keep finding early bays. I swear. Its like they know I can't resist pulling them out of junkyards and putting them back on the road. Let me introduce you to my newest find. Sorry about the crappy cell pics. I'll take more as the extraction begins. Its a VERY early '68...

    Well I got it.

Its gonna sit for a little while, but at the price (but not the damn drive for it) I had to have it. Non walkthrough sunroof 71. Mcoded as an eight seater, but has the mats and mounts for a full middle bench. I have one, so it will be a nine seater. It definately needs work and a respray since...

Thinking 'bout a new project. Sneak Peek Pic.

But I gotta drive 13 hours one way. 71 Sunroof Non Walkthrough. Always wanted a non walkthrough and a sunroof. No motor, no title. Cheap enough to get. No OG paint on the drivers side. NO RUST. Except small amounts on the dog legs. Thoughts?

    Wheel sizes, your thoughts.

I have (hopefully) other project bus coming up. More later, but 3 words: 71/Sunroof/Nonwalkthrough. Anyway, in hopes of said project, I started looking at wheels. Did you know they made Fuchs in 17" for the 71 5x112 bolt pattern? You did? Well hell. No one told me. Thoughts on that? Would you...

I need your opinion. What would you do?

Okay, I built my EB off a red one I found in a junkyard. See the full story here: http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?t=15052" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; My issue is, that I never really liked red. I mean, I built it at the time, and yeah its fun, but I am seriously...

    WTB: Non Walkthrough Kit

WANTED, not selling, WANTED. I've been looking forever, but never struck me to ask you guys. Pictured is what I need. This was an option that allowed someone to use the non walkthrough seats in their walkthrough bay. I am interested in parts, most any condition, partials, etc...

Found a pair of EB's worth the trouble? (warning, pic heavy)

Found these in some trees. Gonna be a pain to extract. Not sure if they are worth the trouble. I can get them cheap, but I really dont know. Thoughts?

    FS: 1969 Transporter non walkthrough

1969 Passenger Bus. Has a front solid bench, making it a non walkthrough, something you rarely see. Current owner is the second owner, believed to have under 48,000 miles originally. Motor has less than 2000 miles on it, built and installed by local VW Guru and reknown engine builder Doug @...

    Rack and Pinion?

Anyone used this, seen it on anything, read anything about it, have feelings about it, etc? http://creative-engineering.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=55&category_id=48&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false...

    For those without radios....

What do you do with your big glaring hole there where the radio should be? Let it gape at you like an open sore? Well I myself, having been radioless for quite sometime (prefering to listen to the sounds of my mighty 1600 burbling fat on high octane gas) I had a buddy make me a filler plate. Its...

The rebirth of a 6-9. (WARNING: Pic heavy)

I've been here a while, lurking, but I never posted up my bay. Would you like to meet her? You would? Well join me then. I first met her via a very vauge ad on CL in 2006. Well with such a stimulating ad such as that (and no pics I might add) I had to go out. So I rode out to Ponder, Tx...

    Wheel fitment issues?

I think Sprint Stars look great on a bay, but someone told me that they wont lay flat or fit on the rear drums. What will I have to do to get Sprint stars or wide 5 Fuchs to fit in the rear? Anything helps.

    Lowered beam question.

Hope this is in the right area... I considering buying a lowered narrowed beam (I think 2" will do it nicely) but I cant exactly figure out what I need. Some lowered beams are more, with narrowed springs and tie rods, while others are less, but do not include those things. I assume if you run a...
