I've decided to have a clearout of the shed and get rid of some of the bits I'm unlikely to use.
First up, a 1600 longblock, AS code:
It was running in a bug, and had an oil pressure gauge on a t-piece in the oil sender filler. The oil pressure gauge broke, resulting in a loss of oil. The engine still ran, but had a knocking so was replaced with a 1300 - so assume this needs a rebuild.
Hard to price, but looking for £350 ONO.
I've also got pretty much a second 1600 engine, in bits.
The crank spun a bearing and has damaged one of the dowel holes.
Please note those pics (of dismantled engine) are several years old - can get new ones if required.
Case £60, 1600 barrels and pistons £30 (will need a hone), all other bits available.
I've got most of a set of tinware, oil cooler, pushrods, rockers etc etc - will get pictures of the bits above and update the thread over the coming week
