1968 original beige Deluxe Bay for sale...

bought this for my Dad but he's since decided to spend the money instead traveling around India so i need to sell it, It's an original paint 68 Deluxe, it has some surface rust and a few dents but is genearlly straight and accident free. and it's a 68, push button door handles, long stem interior mirror etc... first year production of any model will always be the most desireable in the long run...

basically what you see is what you get, no engine or rear bumper,

i haven't picked it up yet(next week) but the price guide is £3500

I just picked this up today... and i'm loving it! It's incredibly rot free with only the front floors starting to go very slightly and the inner front arch just above the outrigger in swelling slightly... and that's it! the roof has surface rust as you can see but it's hardly pitted at all and the gutters are perfect. it'd 100% original paint so there is no filler anywhere! there are dents as you can see but these could be panel beaten out of left depending on the style you desire.

The interior is filthy and tatty in places but apart from the middle seat is pretty much complete

It was built in Febuary 68 so was within the first 6 months of Bay production, it has all 5 of it's original date stamped wheels.

all in all it's a really easy project either for resto or slammed with wheels and used with the body work as is...

As it is £3500

as is with a good 1600SP engine £4000

Sorted with an engine, rear bumper, mecahnically overhauled, new screen, MOT'd and UK reg'd £5500

as above but lowered with adjusters on the front and down one spline at the rear £5900

Or as above but lowered using a split bus front beam with adjusters, recon dropped spindles with new linkpins, new adjustable track rods, lowered 2 splines at the rear with new shorter shocks all round. choice of wheels, 15" split bus steels, Speedmasters etc and new low profile tyres... POA

Whilst i was looking around this bus the other day i found some keys wedged down the edge of the dashboard, one original and one that's been cut from it... one key fits all the locks and ignition, bonus!

The Engine i have for this bus had never been run since it's complete rebuild until i struck it up on the floor yesterday, it runs perfectly as you'd expect... i'll be fitting it next week sometime so the price will then be £4k. Now, for a first 6 month of production bay deluxe, 99% rot free with all original paint surely that's a bargain??

i popped most the dent in the lower swageline on the front panel out, it looks much better now...
