After a lot of internal conflict I've decided to place my 1969 Early Bay Deluxe up for sale.
Imported from Arizona, December 2011.
I bought the bus from its original owner who had cared for and travelled in the bus until age dictated its sale. The bus came with the original receipt and manual.
Bodywork: Original paint. Extremely solid and no rust issues. Has a few dings and dents from the previous owner but I've simply waxed and polished these. I can't stress how solid this bus is, especially given it's 43 years old and still wearing it's original paint. It has excellent shine when polished and waxed.
Cargo floor had a rust repair due to a leaking seal.
Professionally cavity waxed and undersealed with dinitrol in August 2013.
New Vewib German seals all the way round.
Replaced middle windows with sliders but can include all the original vent and 3/4 windows.
Engine: Stock 1600 engine - no mechanical issues since it's import other than a broken accelerator cable and replaced starter. Regularly serviced. Very reliable and drives smoothly. No gearbox issues.
Interior: Original bench seats in situ, including the uncommon full width middle bench seat.
Original headliner will need replacing due to rips.
This bus has a lot of history and has given me significant enjoyment over the last few years, I hope someone else will enjoy it as much as I have.
MOT until August 2014
Price: Sold
Pictures taken 4/3/14 (After a wash but not polished)
