1970 Westy camper which I imported from San Francisco in December 2008.
As far as rust goes it's 98% solid but it does have a small hole on the O/S front dog leg around the wheel arch and needs a minor windscreen repair but I have a TQ seal in the van.
Work Done:
All the brakes have been overhauled and has new front and rear wheel cylinders, nearly new master cylinder and new drums all round. It is recently lowered with a Fosky adjuster in the top tube of the front beam with T2D slam shocks and a new drag link a 1 spline twist at the back with KYB gas-a-just shocks.
I've recently finished Wax-oiling the cab floor along with under side and painted the wheel arches. I'm currently installing a brand new wiring loom which I will finish also it comes with an electric windscreen washer conversion and UK spec rear lights (fitted with US lenses) It's rolling on 14 inch wide 5 bay steels painted in satin black fitted ratty OG VW hubcaps.
The interior has new cab kick panels fitted with speakers, nearly new cab mats and a black & white chequered vinyl floor in the back. The roof canvas is about 2 years old from JK. The rear interior is unfinished at the moment but does come with the OG Westy wardrobe, buddy seat and rock 'n' roll bed with finished in black vinyl.
*UPDATED BIT*
The bus will now come with a 1600 TP engine which I've resealed, fitted new push-rod tubes and serviced. I've fitted a 55 amp alternator, deep sump and a good used oil cooler. It has all the correct tinware too. I've given the engine a good inspection- heads/barrels off and have flushed it with engine detergent. It has NO end float either.
I'm sure there is some things I've forgotten
I have loads of pics that I'll email if wanted
Due to the work done and the the amount of new parts fitted I'm looking for £6200, which is alot less than what I've spent on it over the time I've owned it. The bus has no MOT atm but isn't far off, I will finish the remaining work and put through the MOT and get windscreen repair and welding done for £6600
Any questions or viewings welcome.
