HI guys.
I bought a good original condition 1971 westy in SA which I'm looking to import. My initial thoughts were to have it restored there and sell here (maybe keep depending on how much I like it). But my question is whether people are after projects or already restored westy's...

Any honest advice would be much appreciated. :D

In answer to your question, there rearly isnt a right or wrong thing to do some people like to buy a project and others like a jump in and drive it, my advice to you would be ship it home advertise it and give the potential purchaser the option that way you dont have to outlay a large pile of your hard earned, to maximise your potential earnings the restoration work would have to be the dogs or people will think they might have to go back and sort things there way and that always bothers people ( the thought of potential expence later on ) I hope this helps good luck which ever way you go.

Thanks 58Paul...
How much do 71 Westy's which have been restored well generally go for?? approx range? and how much if not done??

I know it all depends on various things but roughly...

I've always wanted one so I might just decide to keep ;)

Are there any friendly VW Bus passionate dealers who may be able to advise on cost if I emailed over some pics, as I can't seem to figure out how to upload pics on this forum... :-/
