Well, time just isn't on my side and I've never really used this beetle since buying it so I'm letting it go for someone else to put there own stamp on it. I bought it with the idea of building a street n strip bug but that definitely won't be happening anytime soon.

Its a 1972 1300 beetle. Paintwork is 'ratty', black spray paint over a teal green. The wings are all new but have never been painted. However, the body work is solid and rot free. There is a little bit of surface rust but this all adds to the rat look. The front wheel well has been replaced at some point by the PO.

The chassis is also solid, floorpans look good and the heater channels are solid. Passenger door bottom will need a repair.

Since owning the bug I've replaced the front shocks, fuel gauge and headlight switch. All needed for the MOT which it passed in October.

I've changed the stance by adding dropped spindles on the front, added centreline wheels with fat rear 205/70 and small front 165/65 tyres and T bar bumpers.

It starts and drives well but hasn't been used a lot so could do with a bit of road time. The engine could do with a tune up and if I get time I might get this done.

All in, a solid bug that could be run as is or a good base for a resto.

Available for viewings anytime and happy to assist with delivery if needed. I’m based in County Durham just off the A1 and I can even pick you up / drop you off at the train station for viewings.

£2250 ono

I can take more pics if needed ;)
