1972 Volkswagon Westfalia bus. This is a very nice bus that has had no expense spared on the restoration. The bus was restored in California and then purchased by a gentleman here in Amarillo, Tx that spent even more money on it. You won’t find a better running and driving bus. It drives remarkable, probably better than when new with all of the upgrades of today’s technology. Since restoration is has less than 2500 miles on it. It will be sold as exempt mileage since it is over ten years old.
It is a 1972 Westfalia bus that is painted in PPG base coat/clear coat paint. It is Vortex blue from the 2001 Beetle color line up with a white top and bumpers. The body and floor have no rust, battery box is rust free, heater box and tubes are solid and function well. The interior is semi-custom, it has 1974-75 folding seat, 74-75 fold out table, retains 1972 jump seat with seat so it seats six, and the wood has been stained dark walnut. It has a strong running stock 1,700 cc engine with dual Dellorto DRLA 36 carbs., stock 002 4 speed transmission. All of the suspension is rebuilt with upgrades, large 1973-1979 front disc brakes, heavy sway bar, and KYB gas shocks. All curtains including the front wrap around, ample storage under the folding bed, jump seat, and upper cabinet. It has a very nice Alpine sound system, nice gauges, and leather wrapped steering wheel. This bus has had the right upgrades done to make it a very quality vehicle. It will come with all of the restoration receipts and invoices. Come in and take it for a test drive. I also welcome independent inspections as well. Currently at my home in Nevada.
