I seem to be back in the situation where I have too many projects and so, on the basis of last in first out... the 924 has to go.

It's an early car in really good shape. The previous owner has had a decent quality repaint at some stage and in 2012 (approx 3,000 miles ago) has invested over £1,500 in an engine rebuild. The car is taxed until end August 2014 but the MOT expires in March.

The early cars have a few quirky features compared to later models that set them apart, including; sliding heater controls rather than a rotary knob, rubber shift boot, metal stalks for wipers and indicators and a lack of side repeaters in the front wings.

As with all 35 year old classics there are issues, but as befits a car that cost over £9,000 when purchased new (equivalent to approximately £49,000 today) the engineering quality of the Porsche shines through.

Since I've had the car I've addressed a number of these issues:

Replaced awful cherry bomb exhaust with a proper Dansk stainless back end
Replaced worn and incorrect leather shift boot with a good used rubber one
Replaced NSR wheel bearing
Replaced bulbs in dashboard and centre console instruments
Replaced bulbs in centre console heater controls
Repaired battery tray corrosion
Cleaned and set up injection system
Set timing correctly
Repaired boot catches
Repaired front interior light
Repaired windscreen wiper linkage
Repaired windscreen washers
Repaired headlight washers
Repaired electric mirrors
Cleaned electric window switch contacts

A few things remain outstanding

Driver and passenger seats worn
Wheels need refurbishing - alloy lip lacquer has lifted but centres are fine
Front suspension dampers are leaking a bit
Bush missing in NSF headlight pod means operation is a bit clunky when going up and down
Handbrake cable needs replacing - supplied with car
Bonnet release cable needs replacing
Alternator belt needs replacing

The car looks great, but unfortunately it will not stop raining... so it looks a bit unclean in these pictures. Sorry for that :(

The previous owner had the car advertised at £2,500... I think that's a little more than it's worth today (although the early cars are suddenly grabbing the attention of many) and so to recover my costs (or as close as) I'd like to ask £1,850 or close offers for the car.
