WHAT:
A classic,stock/white/LHD/1972/low-light/1700cc Type 4 engined Bay-
full Westfalia rig inc;Fridge-Sink unit/Table/upper Bunk/Cab Cot/
Wardrobe/Cupboard/Storage Shelf plus original Curtains/Bug Screen/Jack & Wheel Brace/small tool Pouch and stamped Owners Handbook & Manual.
Pop-Top is all there and serviceable, but is 40 years old - Roof Rack bars
all rubbed down and Hammerite painted.

WHEN:
Honolulu > Seattle > San Diego > UK (by me) Dec 2010 - bought from a known source in California and mechanically overhauled by an established specialist in the UK then finished off by myself. Currently showing nearly
69K miles,done about 1K this year -on a K Reg plate & MOT'd to 31/01/12.

WHY:
Long story but it is now apparent that we need a multi-seat 'Bus' rather
than a 'Camper' to suit our needs (grandchildren>day trips) - so a part-
exchange option would be considered.

HOW:
I cannot fathom photo's on here but can send a full listing of all the work done (i/s and o/s) plus numerous photo's via e-mail [email protected]
We are located in Essex and are looking for £11,995:00, which includes
the extra depth/4 ply-breathable winter cover for a Westy pop-top.

Have a look.............

This is not a Bump , but just a note that PX is an option contained in the text posted above - any Busses out there?.

I don't know if I've done it right  but tried photobucket link -

OK thanks (I'm not IT orientated as you may have gathered :? ), so take a chance -password is jessica-7

Link works fine if using the password well done. :D

Very nice looking clean camper you have there mate.

I had hoped this would go to an Earlybay devotee on here, so a revised listing before I go to the 'general market' in a week or so -
-No PX now needed
-Additional pic's via Photobucket (above link & password)
-£11,500 ( if price is met I will include 4 ply Breathing Cover/Heavy Duty Wheel Clamp & fold-up Aluminium Step).

I am now away for one week so cannot respond, please log your interest
via PM - there are more photo's and a detailed work done list, back on 29th.

Here you go Jim, good luck with the sale. We helped Jim import this bus and got it MOT'd and registered for him so know its a sound bus.

Great looking van and really really tempted.....
Just have to convince the better half that this crossover with the larger rear lights looks as nice as the earlier 71 with smaller rear lights which she has her heart set on !
Anybody got any arguments I can put forward to convince otherwise?

Recently sold my late bay (I finally saw the light !!) so sitting on cash looking for LHD westy with no work req preferably 69 - 71.

THANK'S Graham (clever old sod), I'm just back this evening.

Howie how about telling her it has Disc Brakes on the front (all brand new by the way) so it stop's when you need it to (1972 the first year with Discs),
or would you rather look pretty before you crash  ...............JIM.

71 is the first year for the disc brakes. Are you running a type IV in your bus? It is a purty one. But for me that pancake engine would be a deal breaker. I`m just sayin. Good luck.

OK - I stand corrected , it was a joke anyway, and yes a 1700 Type 4 engine.................cheers -JIM.
