I bought a set of backing plates for my 1970 campervan. One of them has been fitted the other one I didn't need. It would not fit in any event as it is a slightly different size.

I have been told that it is from a 68 to 69 van as they have different size backing plates. When I tried to fit it over my 70 drums the outer lip rubbed on the drum.

These are I am told rarer thens hens teeth. I just want to get back the £45 quid I paid for it.

The lip is missing a small section and the outer rim is slightly out of shape as can be seen in the photos. The backing plate is otherwise rock solid with no rust and has been painted in hammerite. I cleaned and painted it before I realized it wouldn't fit!
