hi can anyone help my gearbox is knackered it strugles into first and will pop out of 4th

because it a 68 the gearbox are different has bolts all round the side have got a gearbox but its out of a later bus with the two screws oposite each other on the sides

will this later gearbox bolt straight in or do i have to spend a furtune letting cog box have a look.need to get a new engine to get back on road but seems daft to not sort the gearbox aswell sourcing a gearbox is holding me up thow thanks stu :?

A later box should fit into your bus ok, you just need to swop the front mounting bracket on the nose cose for the early one on your box. The additional bell housing top mounts on the later box will just be redundant and you wont need to use them on an early.

Hope this is of some help

As do I. I found that using a later box allows you to use the later clutch setup which is much more reliable IMHO.
