After wanting a bus for years, I've finally taking the plunge. It came about by chance at friends birthday when her dad mentioned he was gonna sell his bus. With a new baby meaning my beach buggy is now useless, I figured it'd be worth a look.

As I got it last week

It had a few bits and pieces welded, but it's pretty solid and straight. It's already dropped with an adjustable beam and it's sitting on some slot mag reps.

The outside is gonna stay, with new rubbers, seals etc. it needs an interior, want to be able to use it for camping, rnr bed, beer fridge and leisure battery.

For the motor I've got 2332 with 44idfs, so looking to fit discs for a bit of extra stopping power.

It's not gonna be a quick build, but I'll try and get some updates when I can.

Cheers
Dan

Cheers guys. I think I'm going to just wax it. I've got to try and blend in some paint on the repairs and then give a coat of something.

Not much to update on really, but popped over today to get the new brake shoes etc. Fitted up and ended up doing this instead

I figured I may as well do it properly, so I'll clean and paint it, new seals and ball joints.

I want to get it driving, so I can get it registered, so I'll just stick with drums for now, but what are my options for discs, but still running wide5 wheels? Trying to keep costs down, so any ideas welcome.

Also been getting my engine cleaned and painted, gearbox out and cleaned (are the front gearbox rubber mounts available anywhere). Definitely going to need to make a custom engine mount to clear the exhaust.

Oh and my mate left me a present on the dash before jetting off to oz

It's been a long time since I posted an update. Mainly because there hasn't been many!

Besides collecting parts and cleaning stuff I managed to get the discs and dropped spindles mocked up I got from Matt Maz. And the motor back together ready to go in.

Also got my silicone filler pipe fitted.

Should all go nicely with the air kit too.

The motor built back up

Need to get it fitted now. Has anyone had any experience of how these last without being panted? It looks like it's got some sort of plating, but can't decide wether to powder coat it?
