I want a similar interior for my '64 vert, but in a different color:

There. That's it for that show.

really appreciate you posting up the US shows pics. 8)

No problem, I love seeing what's going on in the European scene on here and I figured you all would enjoy some reciprocation. Besides, it's all I have to offer since I'm such a bus newb, lol!

I'm also pretty impressed with how my photos came out. I wonder if I can sell some to the mags- anyone need a NorCal USA correspondent to do cover shows?

Fantastic pics (and weather  )

Many thanks for posting them and also love your van. 8)

That Impala rocks :msn4:

So many wicked vehicles!
Cheers for putting them up, and if there are more keep 'em coming.

And as for the weather....

Yes I definitely love living in California. This is where I was born and raised.

Here's what today looked like after I mowed the lawn.

IMGP0562.jpg

Yup I picked up the camper last night. Someone already dropped by today and asked if I would sell one of the buses!

So far I've attempted kill the yellow jackets living in the doors of the westy, and I began to replace the fuel lines in the engine compartment. Next is an oil change.

Nice buses. Wanna sell the blue one!    Where do you get your H2o from, cos it doesn't look like it come from the sky! :D

Believe it or not it was pouring rain earlier in the week!

I think the blue one will eventually be up for sale. It looks better from far away than it really is. The metallic blue on it is flaking off in places- revealing shiny white OG paint. ;)

My wife and I took our son to another show today in Madera, CA. It was sunny and probably about 80F/27C. Admission to the show was free if you brought a donation of canned food for a Charity.

We bought a few things and managed to only spend $58:

The shift knob will go on an original "Superior" shifter I have. Not sure what I'm going to do with the Tach but it might end up in the Deluxe. It has the super cool half sweep design similar to the Mooneyes gauges. The piece of vinyl is a dirty but new convertible top for my '64 vert, sweet deal!

Okay so today's show experience started in the parking lot like this:

Then right inside the gate there was this:

How about some swap meet action?

I collect vintage bicycles but I didn't buy any today, though I was tempted.

$200 for the slammed and hot rodded red wagon:

IMGP0581.jpg

I know some of you guys like the vintage American License plates! My friend picked up a set for his '58 vert for $150.

IMGP0625.jpg

These quarter window scoops were hella cool! I've never seen these before. Only $50.

What do you call a bicycle built for four? A Quadem?

On to more Bay Windows and Splits:

Cool. The blue bus looks like a pretty together bus 8) . If I only had the cash I would buy it and ship it over here :?

I think it looks much better in the pictures than in person. I pretty much bought it for the engine and the interior, plus whatever other bits and pieces I need for the deluxe.

Back to the show:

Horrible.

This car had to have been built in the 80's or early 90's. You could see some faint remnants of some graphics and pinstripes. Kinda cool but not cool enough to own and drive around in.

That concludes the Madera Spring Fling for 2010. I need to stop going to shows and spend more time working on my bus(es). But these last two weekends were just TOO nice to miss the shows!

For the record, it's raining today.

Lovin the photo's dude. I just can't get enough o'the Vdub's state side! Glad to hear you're gettin some precipitation in CA. Make sure you keep them buses dry now :D. Oh, and trust me, compared to my bus, your blue is pretty together...
You have a PM.

Nice 71. I used EZ Off and steel wool to remove my primer over OG paint. Easy Breezy. Try that first. I've got pics of my progress in a thread I put up on here about my bay somewhere. Welcome.

Glad you're diggin' the pics! Your PM has been returned, and I think you'll like the content. :D

As for keeping the buses dry- no can do- my garage is full of this:

Dude I saw your thread on thesamba.com- the paint removal came out sweet! BTW, what suspension setup are you running again? I've been looking at all the different options for dumping my bus.

Thanks dude. I always take a grip of pictures at all the shows I go to, whether it's VWs, lowriders, hot rods, or kustoms. I even went to a Datsun 510 show once and filled my camera. I just never really did anything with the pictures, they just sit on my hard drive.

This has been a fun place to share them.

Nice bus btw, I've seen your build threads on here and thesamba. Your commentary is always entertaining.
