Yeah I just talked to my Dad and he said he's good for a few hours of babysitting on sunday afternoons if I need some garage time. I'm hoping to take advantage of that offer this weekend, but we'll see. There are a lot of house projects going on right now...
The whole undercarriage on the bus is still the OG Chianti Red paint. I think once the bus is running and driving I might try to rub the paint down to the red and then just blend in any sections that need repair. I've seen some pretty amazing results removing surface rust with CLR (Calcium Lime and Rust- it's a bathroom cleaning product) on a scotch-brite cleaning pad. I'll probably try the oven cleaner trick that Kirk had such great success with on the paint. The blue paint is fairly thin and very baked so it shouldn't be too hard.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I ordered some boomerang plates from bus boys.
Hopefully my next post will be a picture of a lowered Deluxe.
