Hello you fellow earlybayers!
Just wanted to let you know that I am considering selling my Sierra Yellow 1971 Micro Bus. It's a walk-through version with a nice black vinyl interior and a full-width rock'n roll bed that I made with my own two hands using genuine Westfalia hinges. The Bus is in very good condition and has been totally realiable in my daily use, also today. It has a 1600 cc engine that was totally rebuild about 10 000 kms ago with brand new dual port heads and forged Mahle pistons & barrels. Also worth mentioning are, I guess, a new battery, good tyres with lots of thread, opening 1/4 lights and an Eberspächer BN4 gas heater that was ordered as an optional extra and installed by the factory. Nice.
Steelwise the bus is in good condition and has only a minimal amount of rust at the rear corners and seat belt attaching points. The bus hasn't had any rust repairs done in the past. Potential buyers will no doubt also wanna know that the Bus has had a smack (in the 80ies) on drivers side side panel and the mess has been cleaned by covering the original messed-up panel with another sheet of metal instead of replacing the existing panel. From the outside everything looks nice except for the fact that two of the vertical seams are "missing" under the window level. From the inside you wouldn't notice a thing. The nose of the Bus is a little smacked too, but nothing major there.
£3900 shipped to Tilbury
Many thanks for reading this announcement.
