71 tdi project

Its been a while from i had the crossover which i daftly sold for the split, so here i am to build a bus i want and will be able to use.Just got myself a 71 german import early. Pretty poor condition so plans are to tidy her up lower stick a vw tdi into it and use the life out of it. Tdi will probably be frowned upon but it means ill get to use it much more often.

Chhers dude thats true. Im goin ahu 1.9 tdi with 2.0 t25 box rolling roaded at 110 bhp. Should be fun and q bit easier on the juice

Madman im going tdi as itll give me nearly twice the economy otherwise I couldnt be using it weekly for 300 mile trips.

How is the project going?

Just bought a 1z engine and interested that you're going to use a T25 gearbox, I did think about this too but read a few people saying its a lot of hassle to put a T25 gearbox in a bay (side shifter, mountings etc). Any advice on using a T25 box?
