72 rear drum brakes.

Im going to need rear drum pads soon and as its a 72 there isn't a fitting kit for it, only upto 70 and after 73. Does anybody know any reason why i can't use 73 onwards rear pads, kit etc, hence making it easier to replace in the future?

I had to do this on mine 72 model,I couldn't find new springs so bought the 73 set up.You will need 73 shoes,fitting kit (springs and shoe retainers)and also rear internal handbrake lever,as there different

Just re-read my post,you will also require the Distance bar
My mistake :roll: I was thinking it came with the lever,but its a separate item......Dave
