Like the pics of the show in the Alps 8)

I got good rear bumper splash pans from Schofields. They make them and they fit well.

Thanks for your answer! I had to modified the right one, but now they suits well!

Cheers

Hi everybody!

A few weeks ago there was the beautiful meeting at Chateau d'Oex in Switzerland. The weather was perfect, so we headed off on saturday morning in direction of the alps.

The theme of the meeting was, "Let's Rock!". So there were playing different bands the whole weekend long f...ing great music!

Some impressions from the meeting...

There were around 1400 aircooled cars from all over europe! Very cool!

On saturday evening we had party all night long with some good friends! We had definitely a few beers and tequilas too much! ;)

Sunday morning....

If you ever have the possibility to go to Chateau d'Oex, DO IT! You will not be disappointed!

Between all the work, learning for school and had hard partys at Chateau d'Oex  , I found some time to work on the westy!

Here some progress I did...

The front beam is finally blasted and powder coated!

Sandblasted...

I've also mounted the rear bumper on the bus. Looks good without the right over rider... Doesn't fit like I want that!

Look at the right one!!! That's ****!

I will spend some more time on the right over rider to look like it should be.

I also begun with the rewiring. I installed a second wiring loom from front to back which include oil pressure, oil temperature, rpm and the rear speakers. For the rear speakers I used a special cable which is shielded. I hope I will not have any problems from the rpm signal on my rear speakers!

And on the front I installed the butty bits throttle kit. Very nice!

Hi all!

Sadly I've not too much time to work on the bus. First priority is my education at the moment. But I use every free second to do some stuff!
Last week I good some yellow headlights from a guy from Austria. What do you think, will they suit the bus or not? I'm not sure for the moment....

Sierrayellow with yellow headlights!? Go or no go?

Hi everybody!
Since the last few weeks I made no big steps forward on my bay. But when I had some free time I went to the garage to do some small things.

Here we go....

Start to rebuild the frontbeam

Also the rear suspension found the way back on the bus. For the moment I mount the original spring plates one spline down. Will see how it looks...

Then I started with the installation of the brake lines. Not finished yet...

The braking force regulator got some overhauling. It was full of mud! So cleaned everything and painted in black.

And finally some inspiration! ;) :D

Next saturday I will spend the whole day on the bus. Hope I can do some big steps forward!

Reto, nice work on the detail!!!

I can't wait to see this on all four wheels and a motor!!

Keep up the top quality work........ it shows

+1

Loving the cleanliness of the underneath

What I am aiming for

Thanks guys! :) I'm still waiting for my modified vintage autohaus dropped spindles and my laser cutted brake dust sheets. Hope I will get them at the beginning of 2016! Till then I have a lot of other things to do!

Now I need your help guys! Has the wheel hub from the crossover baywindow (1972) the same dimension like the later ones after 1973? Is it possible to mount a disc brake from the late bay on a crossover bay? I know that the calipers and disc brakes were different. The only important thing for me is the compatibility from the wheel hub from my crossover with a disc break from a late bay. And I'm not sure about the compatibility... :?

Thanks for your help and have a nice evening!

Best regards
