had my new 2ndhand thermostat from Mega-Bug turn up :p so i fitted it.
do i need to adjust it?
is there away of adjusting them?
if so what is it? ;)
i thought they just pop in the bracket and you then bolt bracket to casing?
finally just to clarify i have all the parts and not missing any which could of resulted in my old bellows failing..........
i have the bracket the bellows fits in.
bellows.
rod from bellows attached to a pair of flaps.
connecting bar goes round shroud n doghouse to 2nd set of flaps.
2nd set of flaps and fixings to attach to shroud..................anything else?

regards.

You've got staying power Sharky I'll give you that! There's so great you tube videos, just search vw thermostat.

thanx for the encouragement merly'. :msn4:
have had some ups and downs, just want it reliable so as the better half sees the light and agrees to a full weeks holiday in the van down south rather than the odd weekend away on the gower. :p
new engine came with his 12 month 12k mile warranty, not that i'll do 1/4 or even 1/8 of that(fair weather driver   new paint n all) so the fella insisted that the engine was original with regards to cooling tin and flaps etc as it left the factory so to speak, carbs and exhaust didn't matter.
so howz the build going??take it from the advice you have no flaps inplace?
