Hi, after some audio advice guys/girls. Just got my Tintop Westy Resto completed and looking for some audio. Unfortunately the previous owner cut the stereo opening out to fit new stereo, so the period radio I sourced now has a gap around it. I've since found it too expensive to convert the period stereo to new type. So, looking for a nice mechless dab Bluetooth radio that don't look like it's out of a corsa bazz wagon😉
Secondly, speaker wise I won't be cutting holes in any of the Westy original interior. I guess this limits my speaker choice as I can't seem to find any decent separates or sound bar types. Up front I won't be cutting the door cards either, so that limits me to the kick panels etc.
Don't know much about amps or subs, or where I'd fit them. I have a buddy seat but whatever I fit will have to be slim cos I car a lot under the seat.
Know I'm a funny bugger and want something discreet, Any advice?

If you want something portable, I run with a medium flavour radio and most of the time I can't get a station but. Like how it looks in the dash so if you could get a stock ish unit and make a very unobtrusive blank to fill the rest of the hole it shouldn't look to bad. The rest of my sound system is a new style block rocker and it's fairly loud, runs off a recharging battery and you can have it between the seats or just behind or anywhere you like. You can also charge things from it like pads and phones and they say it's good for seventy hours but maybe not at the volume I normally have. It's also got a built in radio but I haven't had much success with using that as I'm driving maybe because of turning around and driving at the same time. You can also put it outside and that's mostly where I uses it.

Ozziedog,,,, And no alterations :bliss: :bliss:

Cheers ozziedog, sure the block rocker sounds great but wanting something a bit more permanent/discreet. Must add though that maplin currently have these on offer at half price £85. Bargain for someone👍🏻

That`s a bit more like the fella I know. Now answer me why oh why oh why did I have a little look at your plans on the bottom of your thread there to see if you`d included plans fora banjo ???

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Love to be able to play an instrument like that, Oh and a sax, Oh and a guitar,

Perhaps too discrete? I use my phone and a UE boom 2 strapped under the dash. If u wanted stereo then use 2 of them and if u wanted to use a low output dash radio you can wire the speakers into a head unit.

Obviously I don't operate the phone while driving.

No banjo but I do have plans for a couple of guitars I'm making... No proper space for working on cars at the moment so I'm busying myself with lots of little projects :)
