I have our 3.5 & 4" drop for the bus with drop spindles and rear lowering plates. Front and rear shocks along with adjustable tie rods. I am going to redo the rear brakes to stock and stud the drums. The front will get our BAD Series Disc Brake kit. We will be outfitting the bus with 17x7" Smoothies powdercoated with trim rings and painted hub caps.

What kind of spindles up front then? Are you building this stuff yourself or rebadging it? I would love to see some pics as I am from your side of the pond!!!!!

We are the US distributor for Transporter Haus, Serial Kombi and Volksprojects. Currently our relationships are strong with them lessening the need for us to produce them.

love it, something a bit different form the usual buses :msn4:

Front Suspension is on along with the disc brakes. Came together nicely. Found out that the PO through a CV joint at some point and the stub axle was trashed. All but two of the threaded holes for the CV joints still have threads or the wholes were not oversized. Should get the rear end put together tomorrow and then wait for the wheels.

I apologize about the bigger photos. I was putting the same photos on the samba here http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6953135#6953135" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and they shrink down to the largest size allowed. I know it is also PHPBB. Maybe it is a setting?

I put some time fitting the bumpers sectioning them, making them just right and are now in paint, should have them back in a week or so. Going the same texas brown on them. Got the dash removed and is also being prepped for texas brown paint.

Sent out the speedo to get a new needle on it, all the pedals, steering column, wheels all are in powder coat, should have them back next week.

Stance is a lot nicer than it was, and that is saying a lot because we love our air ride and that is not happening on this ride. Motor and trans should level it out nicely.

I had the insides scrubbed down to the original paint, we are going to apply some color matched do-it-yourself bed liner to coat the sheet metal as we are going to carpet the but.

All in all I am pretty happy, but we did figure out why the bus was sitting. When we picked it up, the trans was in the bus. It had a broken ring gear. After the rear suspension and brakes were chemically stripped, we found that the stub axle was cracked and all but two of the bolt holes were stripped and the back flange was eaten up. I think it threw a CV Joint and it rocked the trans, I could be wrong.

Looking very nice. Love the fact you spent the time and effort to make the bumpers fit tight to the body.

Loving this build. Keep us posted. 8)

We used #quickroof on the floors of the bus, pretty easy product to work with. We got the dash back and it was supposed to be smoothed and paint matched, that did not happen but we are trying to meet a deadline. SO we are going to install it and run with the punches. Got all the bolts on the suspension changed out, pedals in, new cables in, steering column assembled and the seats installed. Got the stainless trim installed, the door guts bead blasted, lubricated and installed with stainless hardware and installed stainless trim rings on the smoothies.

Got my first scratch on the paint, bummed, but knew it was going to happen. Touch up once it is assembled.

I will have the motor assembled next week and the bumpers back from paint and installed on Wednesday. Coming together nicely and loving it.
