anti-seize compound - is it all the same - for general purpose is copper based better than aluminium based or nickel based ?

Or do you use the same "base" as the metal your using - ie aluminium based for aluminium bolts...

I've never used the stuff before but seems like a good idea...

Any recommendations, or in the real world is a dollop of grease all you need...?

Many Thanks for any advice and apologies for the noobie question

Matt - I tend to apply copper-slip grease to almost everything on the bus to keep the bits from rusting/sticking/corroding - makes things so much easier when its time to take them to pieces again.
I have never concerned myself with the prospect of dissimilar metal corrosion due to the lubricating properties and lack of reactivity copper itself has.

You must have heard the saying - "You cant have too much lube?" :msn4:

Same here. Copper slip everything. Makes it so much easier if you need to undo stuff, even years later.
