can t speak from personal experience but my mate who i bike with swears by his , he doesn t hang around either lol so it gets a batterin downhillin :)

I've got one & its brill. The only downside is the editing software I use is too fancy for my old laptop and it's not very smooth when editing.
Use mine for mtb, search for wrekin wheelers on youtube.
Used it sledging with the kids a few weeks ago too, got some great footage

:) Some very coo video there! Are you using the hero 2 or 3? I think you have made my mind up. Not an issue on the laptop front I use a MacBook pro as my main machine or I have a new Dell as the household laptop so I should be ok as they are both new.

Thanks for the feedback.

Mines the Hero3. I used magix editing software to keep the hd quality but I've also tried coral video and the free stuff on the gopro site 'cineform'. It was abit of a learning curve due to the file formats not exporting very well into the editing software.
Gota get a suction cup for the van now:grin:

Was lucky to pick up a "white" in the states just before Christmas at $ for £s. Brilliant, although I've not had too many chances to play with it yet. The wifi feature is very, very cool.

They are very versatile little cameras capable of some great results. The sound can be a bit lacking and they are not so hot in low light but otherwise very robust and reliable with some of the best anti shake software built in. I still use my HDHero2 as I am not ready to invest in new mini SD cards and batteries just yet.

I thought they were pretty good in the dark & low light, the reaction from going from daylight into a dark wood was nice ans smooth...

I've just bought a hero 3 not had much chance to use it yet but the early signs are that it's awesome , the iPhone app is pretty good for setting up shots u can watch what the go pro is seeing with a little delay ... I just need some extra mounts

I haven't got one but have used a Hero3 Black and it's awesome.

Wi-Fi link to iPhone is brilliant but destroys battery. Best to frame on phone or iPad then turn off Wi-Fi.

Editing is a doddle with iMovie too.
