it had airbags back then (2001) took them off as they were absolute cack.

Yeah, front and back. The back was fine, it was the front that caused all the problems. It was one of the early max hydraulics setups, I was suffering sheered bolts, ride was reasonable but a bit vauge. It was all just a bit of a headache constantly requiring maintenence. To be honest its better just to lower a bus properly in the first lpace and live with the consequences. From what I understand there are some better systems on the market now but at the end of the day, they are what they are...

ive never seen rear air bags kits forsale for a bay, although there must be a few customs around?

I think the Creative airbag system is based on a Early Bay IRS system, I wonder if anyone has tried this?

Oh and I love the bus, is it L345 (the colour I did my first bus and my last one too)?
