well im in the motor trade and its been very busy the last week or 2.then i got home yesterday and the headlines were, in short ,midlands motor trade in the **** :? :?

all the used car traders are moaning the used cars are selling quicker than they can replace them.and one local carsales place we do have spent over £2500 with us just this month, and they only have about 100 cars on forcourt and they only change the screens once they have sold.the chap there told me they sold 22 cars last weekend alone :? :?

ive always wonderd why people would buy new cars, madness.i supose if people dident buy them there wouldent be second hand but still madness,i payed £8400 for a car that 3 years ago cost £31000

oh sorry totaly of topic

Yeah I've noticed this too, recently all my car trader customers are selling used cars fine,it's all the new car sales that are down.I've seen a few main dealers go under in recent months in the south east. It's getting harder for traders to replace their used car stock because of the competition for decent used cars at the moment.

Will probably be selling my weedeater (gone for T2d dropped spindles, so will see how that works out before going narrower).

The gearbox (CA 090 2938) from our old 71 Danbury is available (untested), as are some splitty pop-out catches and a splitty jack (same as bay?). Even have an old 911/914 steering wheel (no boss or horn push).

Lastly I've got some odds-n-sods left from my old cal-look bug (couple of ERCO's, Berg shifter, Haneline sills, Autometer tach, VDO gauges, bugpack shocks, camber compensator etc).
