I'm looking at getting an oiltemp gauge and sender for my bus .Ive seen a few options from dip stick sender to sump plate type.Just Kampers have a bundle kit with the csp plate ,VDO sender ,gauge ,wiring etc. Just wondered if the sump sender is very accurate or wether I'm better of with the dipstick type .

Ive got a sump sender and a CSP billet sump plate - works well and is accurate enough for my needs
Although I do have a lot of gauges to admire when driving!

I'm going with the sender that fits in place of the oil pressure relief screw as it's meant to be a better place to get a more consistent reading .
Thanks all

Check this out to make sure i'm right but if you do this oil will be going through your cooler all the time so it'll take longer for your engine to warm up.

Hi not sure how it would be a making a difference as all your replacing is the screw in bung with a sender . The spring and plunger stay in situ so I can't see it effecting much ?
