are the drive shaft boots/gaiters all the same?

Passed the mot yesterday, but tester advised one drive shaft boot split, (not a fail on the rear axle apparently)

The bus is '71/'72 model year, fitted with 1800 T4 engine and gearbox, do the drive shafts and boots go with the van or the gearbox?

and what grease is used?
 
yes ,not come across any that are differant right up to t3 (t25) use good cv joint grease ,molibdinem disolfide (bet i spelt it wrong :shock: ) based,make sure you clean out spline heads in bolts and tap in tool as you can strip the splines out ,helps to put mole grips on bolthead as well if very tight,good pair not the ones you clamp welding with :!:
 
I had these off in the summer to change the gearbox so should not see problems with the bolts, thanks for the tip on grease, it looked like the ordinary green stuff when I had them apart last.
