AS engine

I had recon engine done for me last year. I am looking to do the timing and when looking my Bentley book I cannot locate the code AS. It is a bus engine because of the holes for the support bar. Could anyone suggest what I should be looking at BTDC or ATDC

I'd go by the distributor -

or if it's an 009 28-30 degrees at 3000rpm with a strobe.

The AS engine was fitted to Type1/2 from 73 - 78 and was a 1600 T/P. Bentley is a US book and by that time the US was using 1700 fuel injected engines. As was said above it's all down to the distributor. What type is it? Hopefully it is not the dreaded 009.
