B5ES or B5HS ?

Just pulled the plugs to fit the 'correct' NGK B5HS plugs with the 12mm reach as per the spec in the workshop manual

the old plugs are NGK B5ES and have a much longer reach - 3/4 of an inch

what's that about ?

could I have Mexican heads or something ?

If you take off the rocker cover you should be able to get the codes from the head (get them from both in case they don't match). Post them here and someone will be able to tell you what they are
