My bus has a habit of backfiring after letting your foot off the throttle after some decent acceleration, I know this is usually due to unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust, is it anything to be concerned about ? I'm running a twin choke Weber and single quiet pack, apart from that the engine is standard and runs very well. Needing to put my mind at rest as another long trip to Cornwall is looming at the end of the month.

Mine does this, due to holes in the exhaust system (mine is missing exhaust studs)...

Mine did the same it was so loud when backfireing that I saw people jump I think they thought It was a drive by shooting all it was, was a few holes in the exhaust.

Can't really add too much but I had the same problem and it was due to a hole in the exhaust. Check the exhaust itself and have a look at the fittings as it could be air getting in through the gaskets.

Cheers guys just had a look and both joints to the exchangers are loose
