I have a straight bar and sits nicely I think

Did you have to drill holes in the bumper or does it pinch it?

Looks great with the risers! I like how it's tall enough to go over the plate!

Ok, did a little shopping to day. I bought a ground clamp. It's used to clamp to a pipe, then attach you ground wire for your house to it. I figure I can bolt the clamp to a piece of flat stock, then bolt the flat stock to the bumper via the bumper bolt. Then just clamp a round pipe in the ground clamp. :D

Here is a picture I with what I kind of have in mind. The flat stock I have in the pic is just to show what I'm talking about. I want to find a piece that doesn't have all the holes in it.

I only bought one ground clamp, but after going out and looking at the bus and what I want to do, I may buy another one and run a long bar over the plate, kind of like what Bwuttonmoon has but it will go from one bumper bolt to the other. I don't have the bumper guards on my bus so I figured this would look ok. I don't wont to put any holes in the bumper so I figured this would be my best bet. :D

Now the thing I need to figure out is what size bars are normally used as far as diameter. I could probably use any size up to one inch, but if I want to buy the clamps to attach the badges, I am thinking I would have to have the same diameter as the actual bars. Either that or I can make my own brackets (not sure what I could use to do that) or just drill through the pipe and attach the badges right to it.
The pipe will most likely be a temporary thing anyway, as hubby wants to make me a Roo Bar. Once it is done (someday?? LOL) I will have to figure out how to attach the badges to it. LOL That's all up in the air right now though because he still needs to make one and I'm not sure how I will do things once it is done, if it gets done! LOL

Thanks for all the suggestions and links.

I actually found a set of the brackets as seen on Bwuttonmoon's bus. As I was shopping today I kind of decided to try going with a homemade unit. I am going for an old, not so shiney look. I am even thinking of using just a plain piece of steel pipe, so it will rust. LOL It will match the front of my bus that way. :D

I will keep all the suggestions, which I bookmarked, in mind though, just in case I change my mind on the old rusty look. :D

I will update as soon as I get something put together. :D

In the meantime, keep posting your pics!! :D Oh, and Bwuttonmoon, where did you get the VW guy's? Those are too cool!! :D

I got them from a guy on ebay last year but I dont think he does them anymore, I have searched bobbleheads but cant find them.

I have to give special thanks to Bubba Dubba, (Kev). He was so nice and sent me a badge free of charge and free shipping. How cool is that? Really cool!! :D

I put it on today, and I love it. Well, except for where I have it. LOL After I got the grille bolted back on, I didn't like how the badge is over the center solid section of the grille. I will move it over the next time I take the grille off. :D
