ball joint to k&l conversion advice

Im swapping from ball joint to narrowed k&l.. just cause i want more lows and still have ground clearance..

Ihave sourced a full k&l beam, but... do i need the split steering idler and steering arm (drag link)
Or can i fit my bay steering arm and keep my bay drag link? ?
 
I kept the bay one but had to wire the hand brake cable up,as it was catching on the inner track rod ends when the hand brake was off.splitty hangs lower so you don't have this problem..
