I need to replace my ball joints so bought some replacement trailing arms from coolair with them already fitted....Now how to do it...

OK...so I managed to get the anti-roll bar off. May get some new clamps, and will paint up the bar...

1) Shocks off next or ball joints undone?

2) Also I don't have a big enough socket for the ball joint nuts.....What size do I need?

3) Do I need to loosen all grub screws? Can I leave torsion bars in beam?

Cheers,
Dave

Undo and remove grub screws
27mm
Yes undo them and remove the hub
Grub screws in centre should capture the leaves
Shocks off
Hammer the arms out with a lump hammer
Refitting, as Haynes would say, is the reverse of removal.

They will prob take some beating to get them off (mine was a PITA!!!) Biggest club hammer you can find!

I've just had a look underneath bottom arm and it seems to be a normal nut....Is there not supposed to be an eccentric camber nut or something? I also noticed that one of the wheels has massive wear on inside edge

take the top bump rubber of first, with the wheel on the ground.27mm but you will need a spanner as you cant get socket on top nut.also a large lever to lift top arm over bump stop when refitting.
