Hi,
I am currently working on building a 1600tp motor for my van. I bought an as21 align-bored case with reground crank and everything new was fitted up to the conrods. I have installed the B&P's and today came to fit the heads. I have noticed that the lip on the barrel is not mating up to the head, there appears to be a gap of a few mm. I have taken some photos:
Barrel Lip (9mmish)
1600 Head depth (14mmish)
I bought the engine with everything included and it was advertised as the engine was stripped down for rebuild but the project got put on hold. I have contacted the guy I bought the motor off but he has not got back to me so thought I would ask here. Is it a possibility I have barrels for a single port? Any advice is very much appreciated.
