Try some Fullers London Pride or Butcombe Original, :mrgreen:
I was brought up on the Black stuff(Guiness)
& there's nothing wrong with some West Country Farm House Cider(Scrumpy) goes down very well in any Desert. ;) :lol:
Having just read this thread I've heard & sampled all that's been mentioned, I neither listen to Jazz or smoke a Pipe, just don't like drinking Piss. :lol:

If British ale then has to be Timmy Taylors LANDLORD, bloody gorgeous :D

Drinking that right now! Then it's a Doom Bar..ordered three crates of it and a couple of Doom Bar pint glasses (in case somebody broke one) and sure enough one of them was broken tonight. :(

forget all of the above if you are after a traditional "BRITISH" beer than only stella will do
look at the accident and emergency figures on a friday night all thanks to stella , keeping foriegn workers employeed in our crippled NHS services.

It really the best charity work you can do for foreign aid and European alliances.

Stella.... helping Poland, Portugal and Pakistan workers send our tax payers money back home , well done.

Another one for Timothy Taylors Landlord

Me too. Very unique taste.

Not a British beer but my favourite beer is Schneider-Weisse. We generally get Tap 7 over here which is 5% but occasionally I have found Tap5 which is 8.2% and is awesome.

If you like the Black Stuff (Guinnes ) you must try and get hold of some "THEAKSTONS OLD PECULIAR"..........oh yes!

Suggestions on here are all good though.......oh, also try "Black Sheep" from the Lake District I think?

You have good taste my good man.

Good luck!

Doom bars lovely, I personally prefer belgian beers, maredsous chimay Trappists rochforte, leffe, ahh **** it I'm gonna get one from the fridge :D

Australian red wine for me , sometimes finish off with gin lol
During the summer if I fancy beer it's Stella , wife beater to some , but not me lol !

We've got Harvey's and Dark Star round here which are both very good. For mass produced I like Spitfire and London Pride.

You have loads of really nice beers on your side of the Atlantic. From the ones you can get here easily, I love Anchor Steam, Sierra Nevada pale ale and tonight I have some lovely Flying Dog "doggie style" pale ale :D the US craft beer scene is epic...

I think the best beers over here that readily available and will ship fine are from Thornsbridge http://www.thornbridgebrewery.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and I have also been loving Brewdog over the last few years http://www.brewdog.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Locally to where I live there is the Darkstar brewery http://darkstarbrewing.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; who produce some awesome beers. Also the is the Longman brewery http://www.longmanbrewery.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the Downsland brewery http://www.downlandsbrewery.com/our-beers/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Both Thornsbridge and Darkstar whilst mainly brewing lighter uber hopped beers do make some awesome porters if you like your toasted barley.

I should also mention Burning Sky brewery set up recently by the ex head brewer from Darkstar. His beers just rock http://www.burningskybeer.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you want some help getting a crate of beery awesomeness together just let me know... Beer is a bit of an obsession :shock:

Cheers. Andrew.
