It was my Scottish dad who introduced me to ales, Scottish 80 shilling. Apparently lagers were invented for women back in the 1960s or so. Drink real ale all night and you've virtually no hangover, try that with chemical lagers. Heineken seriously affected my nervous system, had to take huge doses of Thiamin to calm me down...safe with ale though.
 
Being in Nevada, USA finding a good selection is usually not a problem due to the wide open nature of nevada. I do plan to visit england and ireland as part of my bucket list . Mainly to soak up history and beer. Will go to Reno this coming week and see how many of these beers are available. Im german extraction but British beers are the best. Kind of like liquid bread. Of course Americans for the most part drink crap like Budwiser, Coors and so on.
