Mer for me also :msn4:
Been using it for years now, easy to apply and polish off! Protects against salty air ( by the sea), and doesnt seem too abrasive. I use it all over - paintwork, great on glass, chrome, etc.
Only stuff i use on the harley too

:-O Eek. Mer is quite abrasive and doesn't offer that great a protection against the elements. although I believe it is not as abrasive as it used to be.

Next time you use it look at your cloth, does it change colour to the colour of the paint...

Ive been using Meguir's of late. Speed detailer, clay kit, polish and carnuba wax has all been good.
I use the Halfords 3 for 2 deals and its not too expensive then.

I like Autoglym resin polish and then Autoglym HD wax.

No , its not too bad, you apply it with a wet cloth and i find a fairly light coating is all thats needed when its had a few coats before ! I have a few different polish's on the garage shelf but rarely use any of them. If you get a chance try a bit on some glass or chromework ;)

I wouldnt say its a polish to restore paintwork tho, more of a protectice coating imho!

This may be a daft question, and if it is, then I apologise...

My bus has areas of patina and bare metal.. is the collonite wax suitable enough protection for this? (assume applied at the very least annually...)

I was going to clearcoat my bus.. but am considering the alternatives first...

hia, mine have bare metal areas and ive put this on and its standing up very well, so far very happy with the polish. ive removed the cover also as this was just a pain and offered no protection i thought, and it was not cheap, but still rubbish! need a bigger garage to get 2 in now  i got the 18g tin but not touched the surface of the tin so small tin is fine also

I use bilt hamber after being into the classic scene for years. Always comes out great in reviews, masks minor imperfections and scratchs and leaves a shine so deep the paint looks like a puddle.

Their other products are top notch too. I've used most of them.

Does anyone know who owns the bus that was on the front of the November issue of C&B? It is the heavily patina'd red bus that came through Slamwerks...

I'm pretty sure the chap is on here, I just can't for the life of me recall his username!

Got myself a tub of Collinite based on Marriedblondes review. Spent a fair bit of time waxing the SC for winter storage.

Results were good in the end. Took a bit of effort to buff clean. Cold weather and moisture in the air meant it took a little longer than expected to haze but all good in the end.

I just ordered the bilt hamber after checking out the website. I'l will let you guys know what I think.

A quick tip Krusty if you've ordered the bilt hamber. Make sure the applicator pad is damp with clean water when you put it on and only apply a light coat. It's much easier to buff to a shine then.
Post some pics after, cheers, Mike
