Betty Swollocks on vinyl?

i was thinking of having vinyl covers for my rock and roll bed and someone has recommended us not to due to not being breathable and it getting sweaty when used as a bed

has anyone else found this to be the case?

i cant really afford leather and dont want cotton - whats a common alternative?

Vinyl is fine.

Nearly all earlybay and split Westfalias had vinyl upholstery on the rock and roll beds. We use a duvet over the top of the vinyl and its well nice

Vinyl is fine and as long as you buy a good thick one, very hard wearing. Easy to clean and look after too. If you are using it as a proper camper its going to get used hard.
