Anyone used this company to upgrade their brakes?
Fosseway Performance

Never heard of them :? CSP, Fellows speed shop or the Porsche 944 route are the common and proven routes

Just Kampers have just started offering this Empi conversion kit:

Yes, but these are all 2 pot callipers and wide 5 fitment. I want something more modern and pcd 112.

The fellows kit uses new Willwood 4pot callipers and can either be wide five or Porsche 130. I may be biased as have this on my bus but think it’s awesome, spent a long time deliberating over this Porsche, wagon west in the states etc.

red9 do a kit for 112 which bolts onto 73onwards spindles no idea on quality of it but uses hi-spec 4pot callipers.

Fellows and Porsche turbo are 4 pot.

Most modern stuff is single pot or two pot calipers ...surely it’s the size and area not number of pistons on our old busses

I think @technohippy on thelatebay fitted some of the fosse way calipers recently.

Interesting point, anyone know more about the physics of braking components? :poke:

Linky?

This article has some interesting info http://www.wcengineering.com/articles/brakes.html

Suggests that disc diameter defiantly does have an effect on stopping power but not much more detail than that.

Also that in terms of multi pot calipers vs single it seems to say this gives more even braking force across the pad onto disc, better contact area means less brake fluid to actuate and more braking force at the same brake pedal pressure.
